There are some moments of your life that just seem to take pleasure in being enacted in slow motion. It's those times that move ever so slowly that you mind races around it, in the certain knowledge that your body can do NOTHING.
Like just now.
I was taking my glass of water off its handy coaster (a CD that coastered, so I decided to give it a job worthy of its name) to quench my thirst, but the poor love sick puppy that was my coaster decided to follow the glass, and hit off my A4 pad that has technical details of my computer on it.
It was then that everything went slow. I went to put down the glass, but a large portion of the water still in the glass was unaware of that fact, as inanimate fluids tend to be, and formed lovely globular shapes as it rose gracefully, and then landed on my desk and keyboard.
Thankfully both my computer desk and keyboard have seen a lot worse, so I was able to appreciate the loveliness of the glob of water midflight.
It makes me think of Tyler Durden on the beach with the driftwood.
