Firstly, using Firefox 1.5 in the labrat labs in uni - How could they fit so much suck into one browser that's generally quite good? I mean the interface in general is far more fugly and everything just smells of Bland. And it crashes more.
Anyway, interview went ok. Unlike Sun, I don't know much yet. But I find myself quietly optimistic. The 12 weeks of it won't run into September, which is good, meaning I don't have to screw with my sun contract. Plus it starts just after I get back from helping do up the new house. So overall, good.
Interviewer wasn't as techy... more of a manager, but not HR drone. HR outsourced to Hungary. Irish HR eaten. Guy did ask "Do you prefer linux or unix". After silencing rant in head, replied "I'm comfortable in most posix environments. Once I have my bash shell, I'm happy". He was impressed that when he asked what I did to relax, my immediate response was "juggling". Apparently not many reply with that. :)
Anyway, he says that if I get through, I'll have a second interview with a more techy slant (he's not all that techy and was interviewing from a script). Then if I get through that, I'm onto a pool, from which I hopefully will be assigned a group.
So here's to seeing how it goes.
