[music |Rasputina - Gingerbread Coffin]

First off, happy christmas to anyone reading. I'm going to be offline for a coupla days, so I may as well wish it now. :) Oh, and ferrousoxide, thanks for your card! :) I got it on Friday/yesterday.

So, yeah, it's christmas. I've applied pledge to any pledge-able surface, I've swept and the smell of ham and of jelly pervades the house. Yup, it's Christmas.

Once the exams ended, I got a bit more filled with the feeling that it was christmas. Actually spending an evening Chez Titch chatting, excessively eating and wearing santa hats kinda filled that one for me... also I got to hear one of the BEST RANTS in history! "No I will NOT refer to your fucking blog". Teehee. It's damned true as well. I'm fairly sure I haven't replied "Read my blog" as an answer to "Hi, how are you?" - I seriously hope I haven't anyway. It does seem more than a little bit rude if someone takes the time to ask you how you are, and you don't even take the time to respond with anything more than the words "Refer to/Read my blog". Email, it's a little more acceptable, but only barely. If you're going to do that by email, at least point to the relavant ones. If you don't, I wouldn't be fucking surprised if you managed to lose all but the best of your friends. I *am* well aware that I'm posting this on my blog, and that it's generally the way I keep in contact with anyone who I don't see on a half-way day-to-day basis, but if I see anyone on a day-to-day basis, I'm going to bloody well keep them informed the old-fashioned way, mainly because I think it involves taking some time out to tell them things.

At any rate, I don't particularly put everything that's going on in my life into this thing. Why? Well, anyone could read it. Not only that, but there are some things that don't make sense in a blog. That said, I've started toying with the idea of a filter that clues friends abroad in on developments that I'd want to share but wouldn't be able to tell 'em face to face. But most of the stuff, well, it either changes so often or it just wouldn't be right to put into a blog. So a lot of the stuff I have going on doesn't even make it here, so if nothing else, it's my blog that's going to say "Refer to my Real Life" not my Real Life saying "Refer to my Blog".

So yeah, it was fun Chez Titch, especially with the madness of card games. Insanely fun... and I now have a few rules that will spice up any game of Bartok. Dammit, that game needs to be reintroduced in Science. It was always a good way to kill an hour, or 5. It also pleasantly hurt the mind as you try to remember everything, and it expands your mind that little bit more. The next time around it doesn't hurt as much, and thus begins the Fisting of the Mind.

This Christmas will be interesting. You know, I always hold out for the same thing each year... you'd think after 7 previous years I'd learn, but nope, still kinda hoping in the back of my mind/body/soul/other components for it. I'd love to actually be able to ring some friends and say "I have great news" and then be able to tell them when I meet (Refer to Real Life). The cynic in me says it won't happen, and while I'm agreeing with them in principle, it'd still be kinda cool.

So that's me, have a happy christmas... And I'll be bouncing aboot soon enough.
