Exams are OVER.
Formal Syntax went quite well.
The question that I was planning to do looked so sweet that as soon as I saw it, I greedily took out my roughwork paper and scratched out what I needed to do. Overall, that exam was good.
What I dislike is the way that he asks a proof that only occurs in a particular edition of the course textbook. He doesn't provide it in notes with the reference to the first edition of the book. Now, the second edition doesn't make reference to it at all. To be honest, my opinion is that if you have to get an examinable proof from an out-of-date book, other efforts should be made to at least point in the direction of the proof elsewhere, either on a handout or the URL for a site. I don't particularly want to sound like a spoon-fed baby, but would expect some current reference so it can be taken home and kept as reference.
Anywho, the exam went damned well other than that proof. Now I'm getting far less stressed about the exams I had. I was stressed about not passing any of the exams, and failing third year. Now I feel a lot less stressed, and reckon there's only one that I may not have passed.. but even then it doesn't feel that bad.
I'm now free! Now alls I gotta do is shop for my mum's christmas present.
Happy Solstice by the way.
