We're screwed.


First two paragraphs of that article: "US INVESTIGATORS, including CIA agents, will be allowed interrogate Irish citizens on Irish soil in total secrecy, under an agreement signed between Ireland and the US last week.

Suspects will also have to give testimony and allow property to be searched and seized even if what the suspect is accused of is not a crime in Ireland.


It just sounds all very gestapo-ish.

I would like to learn more about the history of the The Troubles. The British government gave itself new powers (eg internment), which turned out to increase IRA membership (or so I've heard). It's funny how much the British have forgotten.

I hope this will be found unconstitutional. Good thing only the people can change the constitution.
