Um wow. Someone I used to know passed away.|
It's a pity because he generally had a unique way of looking at things.
I used to know him a bit better back when I was a raging goth. Basically, he was a genuinely nice guy. I drifted away from the scene once I went back to college, so I'd occasionally see him elsewhere and nod in his general direction. Generally speaking, whenever I'd talk with him, I'd never be entirely sure what he was saying because he was either speaking too fast, too softly or referencing things I just didn't know of, for me to understand him. This is especially true when you're in a noisy club, it's easier to just smile and nod.
I remember him offering help with a certain situation that we had, and despite never taking him up on his offer, I was always grateful to him for that. On top of that he became friends with someone who sincerely needed it.
In short, I looked at it all from a sideline, barely actually knowing him, but he was one of the most recognisable and friendly faces in the place, and I'll miss him.
I'm also sorry I never got to go to one of his exhibitions.
(Look, I know I hardly get comments from people anyway... but, if you don't know who I'm talking about in this one, just don't.)
