|Maybe Kate was right - I am totally different to how I was 7 years ago

I don't know if it's a work-ethic thing, or an age thing, or any other sort of thing, but I managed to sit down and read a paper given to us by a lecturer, and I'm beginning to read it critically, pull it apart and pick at it. Back in Surrey, I'd not have been able to do that to save my life - or at the very least, my academic career in psychology.
This also indicates that I'm able to understand the paper as well, which is an amazingly good thing.
Overall, I'm surprised that I can look at it and pull apart the concepts, language and everything else. Maybe I have learnt something!
By the way, this is after a grand total of 3 lectures in this field.
