Wheee! I'm kinda proud of myself. I got my little pygame listener working. It's incredibly simple, but still, it's cool.
I get the user to configure the controller with the keys they want for up, down, left, right and quit, and then get the program to respond to each by printing out a message. Very simple, but I like it.
I think my next trick will be making config files for it. Yup, kids, that's right, nothing shiny like graphics or anything like that, but instead making it read and write config files so the user doesn't have to enter up/down/left/right/quit all the time. There again, I'd not subject any user to the program I just wrote.
Of course, there's that feeling that in a month or so I'll question why exactly I thought it was a good idea to write it as I did, and what drugs I was on. But still, I'm proud now, and that's all that matters.
