I did two things in Sun today:

1/ I learnt to love ksh - well, not really love it, but it turns out I may be working with systems without bash, so I had to learn ksh (ok, most of my workmates didn't, but I wanted to know the niceties). I now see why niallo set it as the default shell on netsoc - it requires effort to learn for it not to be a TOTAL pain in the ass... just like openbsd and other systems he was responsible for. Still, I can now handle ksh.

2/ I learnt my way about python today much faster than I ever did before.

Something tells me that by the end of my time here, I'll know my way around many scripting languages.

Also... I get to play with hardware tomorrow. whee.

There's nothing like doing to make you learn fast.

Moreover, there's nothing like doing with a reason for doing to make you learn fast :)
